THE HISTORY OF THE SUN

Picture
The sun has a lot of history to it. The sun also is a very important part of our lives. Without it we would not be where we are today.
About 100 years ago, a scientist from Norway named Dr. Christian Biklon dedicated his life to study the sun. H was always interested in the sun and space. He is the person who discovered that the sun had a magnetic field.
Originally a typical star. Over he years, dust and gas got sucked into the sun and kept making it bigger and bigger. Eventually after all the years the sun became what it is today.
IN 1973, a space ship wanted to go into space into the space to study the sun but about 60 seconds into the flight the heat shield on the ship poped. Tehy were forced to come back down.
When astronauts went into space to study the sun. A they were there they noticed something weird about the sun. They noticed that the sun was not perfect. It was weirdly shaped.
This may sound strange but the sun is constantly having a battle with earth. In the early years, when the weather was very hot. Every day the sun and the earth have a battle with the atmosphere. The atmosphere stops the full rays of the sun from hitting all of us on earth. That is very important because if the atmosphere did not stop any of the sun, our skin would peal and we would be like snakes.
When the sun was discovered everyone thought it was something different. When scientists turned their telescope they noticed that the sun was a star. Since the sun had a stronger gravitational pull it got more gas and dust so it became bigger and got brighter and then it became the sun as we have it today.
