Appearance of the Sun

The sun looks as if it is a bunch (well, more than a bunch) of campfires mushed together, but it is actually made of Hydrogen in plasma form. It sounds more complicated than it actually is. Plasma is technically the fourth state of matter. To make it simpler, a plasma is an ionized gas, a gas into which sufficient energy is provided to free electrons from atoms or molecules and to allow both species, ions and electrons, to coexist. The sun is constantly having miniature explosions, which create heat. They send the heat throughout our solar system.

The sun used to be seen as a perfect golden disc that had no flaws. But then Galileo discovered sunspots, which proved that the sun was not at all perfect. It is just an ordinary star, which we know for a fact today. We know that nothing except God is perfect. not even our sun. Here is a picture of the sunspots:

These are sunspots, which were first discovered by Galileo and prove that the sun is indeed imperfect.
